Joy Rising!

Posted by vibrantone on 11 November 2011 in Blog

I could attribute this morning’s joyful outburst to a number of things, but why? There’s no need to add in the factors, figure out the parameters, determine the coordinates so that it might happen again. It just happened, and it was wonderful!

There I was, driving my car and suddenly FULL of laughter, BURSTING with gratitude, SINGING at the top of my lungs… and just letting it all rip! Holy WOW!

What I do know is that I spent a whole lotta years censoring my emotions, and that it’s positively thrilling to be done with all that.

How about you? Do you cry at commercials? Sing out loud in public? Dance when your body tells you? Tell me how you express what wells up from within you! (With thanks to Oprah for the phrase ‘Joy Rising’ which I just love).

Isn’t resistance cute? First I bought the book. It sat on my bedside table for a few months. Then I practically devoured it… I was committed! I purchased the juicer (after conferring w/ several friends about exactly which model is the best). It sat in its box for weeks, next to my desk so I could guiltily skulk past it several times a day. I recently heard the author of the book (Kris Carr’s Crazy Sexy Diet – in case you don’t regularly read my posts where I seem to refer to her often) ... Read More

How to be annoyingly successful and happy

Winner success woman

I had dinner with a friend last week who I hadn’t seen in months (aside from Facebook). She said ‘Your career looks like it’s going great, I’m so happy for you!’ I said ‘Yeah, it really is, thanks!’ and then she told me, ‘You know, it’s almost annoying, you look so happy.’ with a sheepish grin. She’s right. I’m pretty happy and I love the work I do. This didn’t happen overnight, I’ve been cultivating my happiness and success for a few years now. And I think it’s available to anyone, no matter what their career situation is. Here’s ... Read More
