Maddy Vertenten

I tend to resist roles and definitions, because these change frequently! However perhaps it is helpful for you to get a sense of where I’m coming from so … I am a wife, a mom to a boy and girl, an entrepreneur. I grew up in New England and have since moved from region to region. I was born in 1968, I’m a Leo. I was a violin student in college, ‘changed my tune’ (ha!) and got an MBA. I worked in corporate human resources for a well-known fortune 50 company. I left said company to be an executive and leadership coach for several years. Along the way I even worked in the music industry for some well-known rockers (which is fun to tell but was not really so great at the time). I held a job in the aerospace industry for a brief stint. Women’s circles have had a profound impact on me, both as a participant and a facilitator. I am fascinated by women, I am fascinated by men. I love to travel to new places and intend to do quite a lot of it! I grew up the daughter of a physician and a spiritual seeker. I was very close to a grandmother whose too-early illness led me to read about and find I resonated strongly with the idea that our body, mind, and spirit are interconnected, and that deficiencies in one area of our being are experienced in the others. In dealing with my own health and the health of my children, I began to feel uncomfortable with many of the solutions offered by others, we’ve since benefited greatly by a willingness to open my mind, gather information from many diverse sources, and follow my own intuitive guidance. I am passionate about living life fully, connecting with others, and sharing bits and pieces that have made a difference in my own quest for a vibrant life.
